Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center Goes Live With TrackWise®

Quality Systems Management Tool Allows for Quality Compliance and System Efficiency

Holmdel, NJ - October 20, 2006 – Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center has announced the implementation of TrackWise®, the leading quality systems management software tool. TrackWise will allow The Blood Center to further improve upon the organization's quality compliance and system efficiency.

TrackWise, by Sparta Systems Inc., is a Web-based software tool that allows for the electronic management of quality programs, enabling The Blood Center to more efficiently track and trend systems for process improvement in areas such as Donor Collections, Hospital Services, Laboratory Services and others.

While The Blood Center has already excelled in compliance with regulatory and professional standards, TrackWise allows for departments within The Blood Center to more effectively address quality issues to promote process improvement. The initial implementation, completed in early October, encompasses The Blood Center's quality improvement reports, investigations, corrective and preventive actions, adequacy and effectiveness checks, and FDA reports and follow-ups.
