Fifth Annual TrackWise® User Conference Has Record Attendance
Holmdel, NJ - October 16, 2006 – Sparta Systems, Inc.'s Fifth Annual TrackWise User Conference was held this year at the Sheraton Suites on the Hudson and The Chart House in Weehawken, NJ. Over 65 companies attended the four-day conference, bringing together representatives from Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Information Technology and other disciplines.
The first day of the conference consisted of plenary sessions where guest speakers presented their corporate strategies and insights for implementing forward-thinking quality and compliance management tracking applications. Anil Monga, Director of Technical Operations at Bristol-Meyers Squibb, presented how his company has implemented TrackWise for CAPA, Lab Investigations, Micro Lab Investigations, Audits, and Quality Events for over 30 sites worldwide and 3,500 users who use the system in various languages. Monga, who also presented at last year's conference, reported that the company has continued to expand the use of TrackWise over the last 12 months, and the company now uses TrackWise in Environmental Health & Safety, Research & Development, and Corporate Quality areas. Monga also went on to say that BMS is currently expanding TrackWise for global change control management.
Representatives from Novartis Vaccines (formerly Chiron) presented the company's implementation of TrackWise as a worldwide Deviation and CAPA system across five sites and five countries. The representatives described how the TrackWise implementation was a catalyst for business process harmonization within the organization. The speakers also provided details on Novartis Vaccines' integration between TrackWise and SAP and its bi-directional integration between TrackWise and LabWare LIMS.
Additional presentations were made by other leading companies, including Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Cytyc Corporation, Baxter Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Cambrex, Human Genome Sciences, PMRS, Inc., and Merck & Co.
The second and third days of the TrackWise User Conference were dedicated to providing technical and business application workshop sessions and holding interactive focus meetings. These sessions enabled attendees and Sparta Systems representatives to discuss their processes, explore best practices, review upcoming TrackWise enhancements and provide further input into future product direction. Advanced training classes and demonstrations of new and enhanced solutions, such as TrackWise TrainingManager, provided valuable information to both existing and prospective clients.
"The consistent theme at this year's conference was 'look how much more you can do with TrackWise'," stated Steve Cagle, VP of Marketing and Product Development at Sparta Systems. "Our customers continue to expand TrackWise within their organization for more and more applications. The User Conference provides a forum to share best practices, which enables these companies to run their businesses better with TrackWise. Customers return to their organizations with new ideas on how to leverage their investment to further streamline operations and increase ROI."
