Sparta Systems, Inc. Announces Enhanced Training Management Automation Functionality

Holmdel, NJ - September 22, 2006 – Sparta Systems, Inc., (Sparta) the maker of TrackWise® and the market leader in enterprise Quality Management System (QMS) software for the life sciences industry, has announced the immediate availability of enhanced training management functionality. The new functionality, branded "TrainingManager™," adds automation and configurable business rules capabilities to supplement the existing training tracking solution already available using the TrackWise platform.

TrackWise quality management software and its TrainingManager functionality enables organizations to manage corporate-wide training policies and requirements using a centralized, fully-automated electronic training system. Training managed in TrackWise integrates seamlessly with other TrackWise quality and compliance management applications including CAPA and Change Control. The fully-integrated platform features a common user interface that provides a distinct advantage when compared to other solutions, which provide a "module" based approach.

Training management performed in TrackWise features:

  • Curriculum Management - Defines training curriculum and related training requirements including classes, SOPs, and other topics.
  • Automated Scheduling - Training records are automatically created in the TrackWise system for a user when he or she is hired, when training is about to expire, or when a change, such as an SOP, change requires re-training.
  • Integrated Training Workflow and Tracking - Employees access their training requirements from a user-friendly dashboard. Managers are notified when the requirement has been met, and can review the completed training record and approve or reject it.
  • Escalation - When training requirements are not completed on time, the employee, management and quality assurance can be notified based on a pre-defined and fully-configurable escalation path.
  • Integrated CAPA and Change Control - Users can specify affected training requirements while creating CAPA and Change Control records. TrainingManager automatically creates or modifies training assignments for employees based on their job function.
  • Reporting - Dashboards and search tools ensure visibility and accountability of training tasks and provides gap analysis reports on employee qualification status.
