Sparta Systems Announces Availability of TrackWise Proxy Functionality

Holmdel, NJ - January 3, 2006 – Sparta Systems, Inc., (Sparta), the market leader in enterprise quality and compliance management software for the life science industries, announced today that it has added a new functionality to its TrackWise Web TeamAccess® system. The new feature, known as the "proxy," gives TrackWise users the ability to designate other users to perform actions and activities on their behalf.

Sparta Systems designed the enhancement to address a need expressed by its customers, who envisioned the proxy feature as a tool that would further enhance productivity. With the new proxy feature, a TrackWise user has the capability to designate another user (the proxy user) to assume the designator's permissions. The proxy user will then have all rights to perform any scheduled activities for the designator and edit records for which the designator has access to. Notifications directed to the designator will automatically forward to all of his or her designated proxies. The ability to assign users to designate proxies is completely configurable by the TrackWise system administrator.

Cagle went on to state that Chiron Corporation, a global manufacturer of blood testing products, vaccines and biopharmaceuticals based in Emeryville, CA, was a key contributor in the definition and requirements for the TrackWise proxy feature. Chiron is currently deploying TrackWise as its global Deviations and CAPA system across its three divisions.
