Sparta Systems, Inc. announces addition of Rafi Maslaton, Chief Operating Officer, and Joseph Worth, Chief Financial Officer

Holmdel, NJ - January 5, 2004 – Sparta Systems, Inc. ("Sparta"), the market leader in enterprise quality management systems, announced the addition of Rafi Maslaton and Joseph Worth to its management team. Mr. Rafi Maslaton joined Sparta as Chief Operating Officer in November of 2003. Mr. Maslaton has worked closely with the industry leaders improve their overall operational efficiency and effectiveness, cycle time, quality systems effectiveness. Together with Sparta's mature product line and Mr. Maslaton's operational management experience, Sparta will increase the value proposition to its customers, provide a more holistic view of TrackWise®, and facilitate the Efficient Compliance™ approach industry leaders are pursuing. Mr. Maslaton holds a BSc in industrial engineering and systems analysis.

Mr. Worth joined Sparta Systems as Chief Financial Officer in December 2003. Prior to joining Sparta, Mr. Worth was CFO of Ridgeway Systems, a telecommunications software maker in West Long Branch, NJ. At Ridgeway, Mr. Worth established Ridgeway's headquarters in the US while overhauling business policies and procedures in their US and UK operations. Prior to Ridgeway, Mr. Worth was CFO of Katalyst, a Philadelphia-based business accelerator and venture capital fund. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Worth was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President - Mergers and Acquisitions of Champion Industries, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed corporation. He previously held general management, finance, marketing and sales positions in the venture capital, semiconductor fabrication equipment, computer system integration, consulting and insurance industries. Mr. Worth holds an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
