Sparta Systems Appoints Chief Financial Officer to Set Course for Rapid Growth and Global Expansion
Holmdel, NJ - May 21, 2008 -Sparta Systems, Inc., the market leader in enterprise quality and compliance management software, today announced that William B. Gerraughty, Jr. has been appointed as the company’s senior vice president and chief financial officer. In this new position, Gerraughty will also spearhead Sparta Systems’ finance, legal and human resources initiatives, furthering the company’s commitment to strategic corporate growth and expanding its leadership position in the company’s target markets.
Gerraughty joins Sparta Systems with more than 20 years of experience in international finance and operations. In his role as CFO, Gerraughty will facilitate continued growth as Sparta Systems expands its operations on a global scale. He contributes his valuable and unique blend of finance, operations and software expertise to the company, having worked with publicly traded and globally recognized software and technology companies.

His contributions to these departments within Sparta Systems will aid in streamlining organizational processes and ultimately result in more effective, beneficial relationships with partners and customers worldwide.
Prior to joining Sparta Systems, Gerraughty served as CFO at two publicly traded companies, NMS Communications and Infinium Software. As senior vice president and CFO for Infinium Software, Gerraughty was instrumental in driving the organization’s successful turnaround, acquisition and divesture efforts, and ultimate sale to SSA Global. He also held a number of executive positions, including president, COO and CFO at Intellution, a software company serving the industrial automation markets. Intellution was successfully sold to Emerson Electric (NYSE: EMR).
Gerraughty is a CPA and began his career with Coopers and Lybrand, the global accounting firm. He holds an MBA and bachelors degree in accounting from Babson College.
