James E. McGowan

President and CEO

As CEO, James E. McGowan oversees the day-to-day operation of the company, providing focused vision and direction to Sparta Systems as it leads the market in enterprise quality and compliance solutions. Jim brings to Sparta more than three decades of success in both large and entrepreneurial technology oriented companies.  In his last two engagements, McGowan was President and CEO of EIS Software Inc. and Infinium Software Inc.  McGowan is also an eighteen year veteran of IBM, culminating as a Regional Manager with $1 billion in revenue and 1,200 employees under his leadership.

James McGowan received his BA in Economics from Boston College and served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.
