Quality Analyst

Sparta Systems is seeking an energetic and experienced graphic and web design professional to join its growing marketing team and support the company in meeting its strategic goals.

We seek intelligent, energetic, and talented individuals to join our Quality Assurance Department.

Position Overview

The Quality Analyst/Software Tester ensures software products and support documentation meet established quality standards through testing and review.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare Test Cases based on functional requirements specifications (FRS), design documentation (DD), and approved change requests
  • Execute software test cases/scripts for all products
  • Investigate problems and interface with other departments on corrective actions
  • Log test results, as well as problem reports into tracking database
  • Track the implementation of corrective actions

Experience

  • BA/BS degree (Computer Science or related field)
  • 3 – 5 years in a of software R&D or Quality Assurance environment
  • Experience with software testing and quality assurance concepts
  • Experience with database management system (DBMS) such as Oracle and/or MS SQL Server
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Windows and Internet technologies

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence.
