Pre-Sales Engineer
Sparta is expanding its sales support team and seeks highly professional technical pre-sales consultants to assist our account executives throughout sales process. We seek only the most professional and dedicated individuals who aspire to achieve the highest levels of success.
Duties & Responsibilties
Interface with customers and perform analysis of business challenges, user and functional requirements, business processes, standard operating procedures, workflows, and other documents.
- Attend scheduled sales appointments and/or conference calls to reinforce sales presentations by providing technical answers and details.
- Prepare high quality configured demo databases for product demonstrations to key accounts.
- Perform live product demonstrations on-site, or from the office via web conference software.
- Organize and perform pre-sales TrackWise workshops with customers, on-site or at the office.
- Train sales people on new features and enhancements. This may include organizing, preparing, and presenting internal workshops for sales staff on as needed or scheduled basis.
- Develop presentations, sales aides, marketing materials, author and review white papers related to product functionality, company positions, best practices, case studies, etc.
- Perform competitive analyses.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs, develop proposals, and Statements of Work.
Qualifications
- Highly analytical & process oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail orientated, excellent follow-through abilities, motivated, creative.
- Flexible, with the ability to travel.
- 3 - 5 years of Technical Consulting experience in software industry.
- Experience in regulated industries is highly desirable.
- Experience with database applications, workflow tools, and Crystal Reports.
- Proven results in achieving sales goals.
- BA/BS Degree required
- 2 - 5 years experience in technical or sales support role in enterprise software systems, or similar.
- Experienced in formally analyzing customer requirements
- Self-starter who is reliable and able to execute special assignments and tasks, and has the experience to work independently and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Willing and able to travel out of state and internationally.
Selected candidates will be provided all necessary training to become experts in our product and the industry it serves. Our training program is 2-3 months and includes travel to customer sites (this is usually out-of-state travel).
